Welcome to the Sandwich Police Department

Chief of Police

It is with great pride that I welcome you to the Sandwich, Illinois Police Department web site. We are a 24-7 organization with full dispatch. We have a D.A.R.E. program that serves our entire 5th grade population. We teach and maintain a Citizen's Police Academy. Our Police Benevolent Association sponsors a girls softball team and is co-hosting a Law Enforcement Scholorship for graduating seniors from our High School, who desire to continue their education. We have a very young department (except for me) that makes up for in enthusiasm what they may lack in experience. Unfortunately, our young enthusiastic people are often lured away by surrounding agencies. Thus, our roster is often short and we are often looking for new people.

The Sandwich community enjoys a Community Oriented Police Department. This much more than a concept; for us is a way of life. Sandwich Police Officers are involved with the community.   daily, officers can be found in the schools, at benefits, helping the ambulance, working with volunteer firefighters, speaking to community groups and so on! Not a day goes by that we aren't proving our slogan to SERVE and PROTECT!

Sandwich is a proud community, host to the "Grand ol' Fair", State Champions in Wrestling, home of the Open Door, Fox Valley Older Adult Services, Indian Valley Vocational Center, the Opera House and the Stone Mill.  Around every corner is another quaint litle shop with just the right trinket for the antique collector, all in the surroundings of a growing and thriving community.

We are proud to be a part of the Law Enforcement Community and are further proud to perform those tasks in the "jewel" of the Fox Valley: Sandwich.
